Pricing & Contracts
Every engagement is different. Here's a rough guide: Google Ads management starts from £500/month (management fee, in addition to your ad budget). SEO retainers from £500/month. Website projects from £800 one-off. Email marketing setup from £600 one-off, with ongoing management from £300/month. I always give you a clear, fixed quote before we start. No surprises, no scope creep without your agreement.
No. I ask for a minimum commitment of 3 months on most ongoing projects because that's genuinely how long it takes to test, optimise and show meaningful results. But I don't lock clients into 12-month contracts. You stay because the results are good, not because you're trapped. After the initial period, we work on a rolling monthly basis.
The management fee covers: campaign strategy and setup, ongoing bid management, ad copy creation and testing, negative keyword management, conversion tracking setup and monitoring, landing page recommendations, and monthly reporting in plain English. The ad budget goes directly to Google. I don't mark it up.
Mostly fixed-price retainers or project fees. I find this works better for clients. You know exactly what you're spending each month, and I'm motivated by results rather than hours logged. For ad-hoc consultancy or training, I can work on a day-rate basis. Get in touch and I'll give you a clear quote for your specific situation.
Google Ads
Google Ads can deliver results within days of launch. You can be getting clicks and enquiries almost immediately. The first month is about getting campaigns live and gathering data. Months 2 and 3 are when real optimisation happens: weeding out wasted spend, improving Quality Scores, and focusing budget on what's actually converting. Most clients see meaningful improvement within 60–90 days.
It depends on your industry and location. For most North Wales SMEs, a starting ad budget of £500–£1,500/month is enough to generate meaningful data and results. Very competitive industries may need more. I'll advise on realistic budgets for your specific situation before we start. I won't take on a campaign where the budget isn't enough to make it work.
Yes, and in fact I often find this is where I can have the quickest impact. Most existing accounts have significant wasted spend that can be eliminated quickly. I'll audit your account first and show you exactly what I'd change and why, before you decide whether to work with me.
SEO
SEO is a long-term investment. Technical improvements can have a faster impact, sometimes within weeks. Ranking improvements typically take 3–6 months for competitive terms, or 1–3 months for less competitive local searches. I'll always give you realistic expectations based on your specific situation.
Yes. Wix has improved significantly in recent years and it's possible to rank well with a Wix site. There are specific technical considerations that I'm very familiar with. I work extensively with Wix and know how to get the most from it within its constraints.
No, and anyone who does is either being dishonest or selling you something. Google's algorithm is Google's, not mine. What I can guarantee is that I'll follow best-practice SEO, be honest about what's achievable, and show you real progress through transparent reporting.
Working Together
Yes. I work with businesses across the UK. Most work is done remotely via email, phone and video call, so location is no barrier. I have a particular understanding of North Wales and the Welsh market, but I manage national campaigns for UK-wide clients too.
I try to make things as easy as possible. At the start of any project, I'll need an hour or two of your time to understand your business properly. After that, the main ongoing commitment is reviewing monthly reports and having a quick catch-up call (usually 30 minutes).
Always. Your Google Ads account, Google Analytics, Search Console: all of these are set up in your name and you have full admin access at all times. If we stop working together, you keep everything.
General
Google Ads is paid: you pay each time someone clicks your ad. Results can be near-instant but stop when you stop spending. SEO is organic: optimising your website to rank in the free search results. Results take longer but compound over time. For most SMEs, the ideal approach is to use Google Ads for immediate results while building SEO for long-term, lower-cost traffic.
Not necessarily. Most clients start with one or two services based on their most pressing need. I'll be honest with you about which services are most likely to deliver the best return for your specific business.
If you've ever been to Llandudno, you'll know the famous Kashmir goats that roam the Great Orme headland. They're wild, independent, and brilliant at navigating challenging terrain. Beyond Goat takes its name and spirit from them. Marketing for small businesses can feel like a challenging mountain to climb. I help you navigate it.
